Recently, Puget Systems released a report on CPU failure rates. Puget Systems is a high-performance custom workstation and small server manufacturer.

The report compares the stability of Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors, highlighting that although Intel's 13th and 14th generation processors face some stability issues, their failure rates do not exceed double digits.

Interestingly, the report reveals that AMD's Ryzen 5000 and Ryzen 7000 series processors have a slightly higher failure rate compared to Intel's 13th and 14th generation Core processors.

The report also notes that Intel's 11th generation processors experienced similar failure rates in the past, and the current issues are not significantly worse.

Additionally, the report mentioned that Puget Systems' 14th and 13th generation systems have an "in-store failure rate" of less than 2%, while end users report higher on-site failure rates.

Despite these findings, Puget Systems states that the impact is not as significant as some media reports suggest.

Recently, Intel announced an additional 2-year warranty for their 13th and 14th generation Core processors.
