Apple has now officially launched three M4 chipsets, but the highly anticipated M4 Ultra chip has yet to make its debut.

According to well-known tipster Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release the M4 Ultra next year. Gurman further speculates that Apple will first integrate this powerful M4 Ultra chip into its Mac Studio lineup within the first half of 2025, specifically between March and June.

Furthermore, in the latter half of 2025, we can expect to see new Mac Pro models featuring this chip as well, promising an enhanced computing experience.

Reports indicate that the M4 Ultra will boast an impressive 32-core CPU and an 80-core GPU, effectively doubling the specifications of the current M4 Max chip for even greater performance.

For the first time, the M4 Ultra will introduce enhanced Apple Intelligence and ray tracing technology to Mac Studio and Mac Pro, significantly improving graphics rendering capabilities.

Additionally, Apple's consolidation of memory architecture provides applications with access to a unified pool of memory resources. Starting with a baseline configuration of 16GB in the new M4 Macs, game developers will be equipped with greater memory capacity, facilitating remarkable visual and performance advancements.

This development is among the reasons why Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is slated for release on Macs in 2025. Excitingly, this version will feature both ray tracing and frame generation technologies.
