AMD's next-generation Zen5 architecture in the mobile APU lineup features three primary members. The Strix Point, already released under the Ryzen AI 9/7 300 series, targets the high-end market. The Strix Halo is set for the flagship segment, earmarked as the Ryzen AI Max 300 series, boasting the most powerful GPUs to date. Finally, the Krackan is aimed at the mainstream to lower-end segments and is likely to be branded under the Ryzen AI 7/5 300 series.

While Krackan may not boast the same high specifications as its peers, it introduces three new architectural designs. These include up to 8 CPU cores structured on Zen5+Zen5c and 8 RDNA3.5 GPU cores, ensuring it can competitively match up with Intel Core's Ultra 200V series.

A prototype of the Krackan has surfaced, identified by the serial number "AMD Eng Sample 100-000000713-21_N," seemingly representing a PRO commercial iteration of the Ryzen AI 7 300 series.

Interestingly, the Krackan, despite being modestly positioned in the product line, is equipped with an ample 32GB of high-speed LPDDR5X-8000 memory. It's worth noting that the Strix Point series maxes out at LPDDR5X-7500. This increase in memory frequency is set to significantly enhance the GPU’s performance.
