Chinese SSD maker FANXIANG has launched the S790MAX SSD with a 4TB debut price of ~$238.
It is reported that the FANXIANG S790MAX SSD adopts a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, M.2 2280 specification, double-sided PCB layout design, and is equipped with the Ingenics IG5236 controller for low power consumption and high efficiency.
In terms of storage media, the S790MAX SSD uses original 3D TLC NAND flash memory chips. These chips not only enhance storage density and durability but also support advanced technologies such as the NVMe 1.4 specification, 4K LDPC error correction, AES encryption, as well as E2E data protection and hardware RAID 5/6 data protection mechanisms. With up to 2GB of independent cache, data security and transmission efficiency are comprehensively guaranteed.
In terms of performance, the S790MAX SSD demonstrates incredible speed, with a maximum sequential read speed of up to 7400 MB/s and a write speed of an impressive 6400 MB/s. It also boasts a total bytes written (TBW) of 2,560 TB, meeting users' ultimate demands for high-capacity and high-speed storage.
To address the common heat dissipation problems of high-performance SSDs, FANXIANG has specially designed a composite architecture optimization solution for the S790MAX SSD 4TB version, featuring graphite and aluminum foil heat dissipation patches. These effectively disperse and export heat, ensuring the SSD remains cool under long periods of high load operation, and achieve long-lasting and stable performance output.
In addition, the S790MAX SSD incorporates two intelligent systems, Auto-adaptive Temperature Regulation and Power Efficiency Management. These systems can intelligently sense the SSD's operating state and dynamically adjust power consumption and temperature to minimize the accumulation of unnecessary energy and heat, extending the life of the device. This significantly improves the overall experience of using the SSD, especially for mobile devices such as laptops, resulting in a longer lifespan.
It is worth mentioning that the S790MAX SSD 4TB also supports installation into Sony's PlayStation 5 gaming consoles, boosting storage capacity and accelerating application loading performance for smoother game operation.
