Blogger Ice Universe has unveiled images of a phone case suggesting that the iPhone 17 series will indeed adopt the rumored strip track camera module.

iPhone 17 Series Design Change

According to leaked supply chain information, the iPhone 17 series is set to rearrange its lens module from the traditional matrix layout to a horizontal format, reminiscent of the Google Pixel 9 series' design.

Design Inspiration

This bar-like runway design is not new within the industry, having appeared in models like the 2015 Google Nexus 6P, the Samsung Galaxy S10 series, and the Meizu 17 series.

Notably, it appears this design trend will continue into next year, with sources like Digital Gossip Station reporting that several upcoming Android phones plan to adopt a similar layout.

In addition to design changes, the iPhone 17 series will see a shift in its lineup. Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 17 Air as a slimmer alternative, replacing the 17 Plus model and joining the standard, Pro, and Pro Max tiers.

Furthermore, by 2025, Apple aims to extend ProMotion across all iPhone models, upgrading every iPhone 17 series device to a 120Hz refresh rate, a feature previously exclusive to their Pro models.

Regarding hardware specifications, the iPhone 17 lineup is expected to utilize TSMC's third-generation 3nm process chips, rather than their forthcoming 2nm chips. Consequently, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will likely be powered by the A19 Pro chip, while the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air models will house the A19 chip.
