Minisforum has unveiled the UM890 Pro mini PC, a cutting-edge addition powered by the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor. This upgrade from the former UM880 Pro boasts a more potent processor, significantly boosting performance for gaming, content creation, and multitasking.

Measuring a compact 130 x 127 x 66.6 mm, the UM890 Pro supports VESA wall mounting, offering flexible placement options. The cooling system has been enhanced with the new Cold Wave 2.2 architecture, increasing the performance mode from 65W to 70W, resulting in more stable system performance and reduced noise. Additionally, the UM890 Pro now includes Oculink support, catering to both productivity and entertainment needs.

The device is built around the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor, featuring Zen 4 architecture with 8 cores and 16 threads, manufactured using TSMC's 4nm process. It sports a maximum boost frequency of up to 5.2 GHz and a Radeon 780M integrated GPU based on RDNA 3 architecture, featuring 12 compute units at up to 2.8 GHz. The UM890 Pro also supports AMD Ryzen AI, delivering a neural processing unit (NPU) performance boost of up to 60% and total AI processing power of up to 39 TOPS. It is equipped with dual SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory, and two M.2 2280 slots with PCIe 4.0 x4 lanes. Additionally, it includes an M.2 2230 slot with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.

The UM890 Pro offers extensive connectivity options, including dual USB 4 ports with support for Alt PD mode, dual 2.5Gbps NICs, a DP 1.4 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
