AIDA64 has recently unveiled its latest beta version, 7.40.7120 Beta, and among the notable updates is the initial support for Intel Nova Lake processors.
According to reliable sources, Panther Lake is set to succeed the current Lunar Lake for thin and light laptops. This transition will introduce Intel's 18A manufacturing process, with approximately 70% of the chip area utilizing Intel's in-house technology.
Conversely, Nova Lake is anticipated to be an enhanced iteration of Arrow Lake, targeting high-performance desktops and gaming laptops. Intel's original plan was to release an upgraded Arrow Lake Refresh next year, potentially labeled as the Core Ultra 300S series. However, this has been shelved in favor of Nova Lake.
The exact release date and official naming of Nova Lake remain uncertain, along with the decision on whether to continue using the LA1851 interface. Moreover, while Nova Lake is expected to have a higher reliance on internal processes, the specifics are still unclear.
