Elon Musk Responds to Nvidia’s Jensen Huang: Humanoid Robots Will Be Ten Times More Common than Cars

Recently, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated in an interview that robotics will make major breakthroughs in the next 2-3 years. He predicted that humanoid robots will become as common as today's automobiles in the future. Huang remarked, "In 100 years, humanoid robots will be ubiquitous and could be the most productive machine system in human history."

An X user shared a video clip of the interview, to which Elon Musk responded, "They will be 10 times more ubiquitous than cars."

It's worth noting that Musk made a promise at Tesla's shareholder meeting this month that the company would begin "limited production" of Optimus Prime robots in 2025. He also mentioned that Tesla will test humanoid robots in its factories next year and predicted that "thousands of Optimus Prime robots will be working at Tesla."

Musk is optimistic about the market prospects for Optimus robots, stating that Tesla plans to capture at least 10% of the current anthropomorphic robotics market, estimated to be 1 billion units per year.

He also revealed that Tesla intends to manufacture the Optimus robots in bulk for about $10,000 each and sell them for $20,000. This could result in up to $1 trillion in profits for Tesla, pushing the company's market capitalization to more than $30 trillion, which would be 10 times that of the current highest market capitalization held by Apple.
